The ICAPP Program at Georgia College
& State University (GC&SU)
The Intellectual Capital Partnership
Program (ICAPP) is funded by the Georgia State Legislature and is aimed
at developing the state's workforce to meet the demand for workers in
knowledge intensive jobs.
GC&SU has been selected as an ICAPP site and will be offering for-credit
college-level classes in information technology. These classes will
educate students in the management, design, and development of websites
and electronic commerce (e-commerce) technology in an intensive 6-month
program at GC&SU. Students completing the program will have the
skills necessary to handle challenging jobs in the fast-evolving fields
of the World Wide Web and e-commerce.
Students completing the program are also guaranteed employment by ISP
Alliance, Inc., which is a rapidly growing, privately held provider
of turn key Internet services, products, and e-commerce solutions to
the telecommunication and utility industries. The company is headquartered
in Alpharetta, Georgia (Forsyth County) with a facility located in Gordon,
Georgia (Wilkinson County).
